The waves are great for the beginner and intermediate surfers. If the surf is really up, the waves tend to close out, and then, Hermosa Beach is only a few minutes to the north for more experienced surfers that know how to ride big waves. Playa Hermosa is one of the most powerful shore breaks in the world, so Jaco Beach is better for most vacationing surfers. |
